Job Description

Our biotechnology client has an immediate need for a Sr. Product Manager, Marketing, on a contract to hire basis in their South San Francisco location.  This Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the overall growth of our oncology drug in the U.S.  This person will development and execution of mission critical marketing tactics in support of optimal positioning, demand, and utilization. This role requires tactical, operational, organizational, problem solving, communications, and project management skills. Strong results orientation and a sense of urgency to get things done are critical. 


  • Support the development and execution of marketing programs and initiatives
  • Individual will lead Patient marketing including but not limited to:
    • Patient messaging and creative development
    • Patient education materials
    • Social media planning and execution
    • Digital promotion such as website and media planning/placement and tactical execution
    • Represent patient marketing with cross-functional colleagues from other departments, including HCP Marketing, Market Access, Sales, Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Legal, plus external partner leadership with agencies and patient advocacy organization
  • Work with agency partners to produce deliverables on strategy within timelines and budget
  • Ensures that all marketing activities and materials are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and adheres to established internal SOPs
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the annual brand and tactical plan and budget

 Required Skills:

  • Minimum of Bachelors, preferably in life sciences or business
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical product marketing experience or agency experience
  • Must have strong planning and organization skills.
    • Ability to interact with customers – KOLs, patients and advocacy groups
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products
  • Basic Understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to proactively identify and prioritize problems and opportunities, maintain focus on big picture, and design effective solutions and action plans
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and solve problems
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working closely with field sales organizations to implement marketing programs with measurable business impact
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking skills, project management and budget management skills
  • Participate as and when needed/working in cross-functional or other project teams and/or supporting peers or organization to excel
